5 Ways to Free Up Time for Your Children – Part 4

Hey everyone, welcome to the fourth and final installment of the “5 Ways to Free Up Time for Your Children” series. For those of you who cut back on sleep or outsourced something, how did it go? What did you use the extra time for, and how have your kids responded to the increase in time that you spend with them? Let me know in the comments section!

Now, let’s dive into the last two time-saving tactics!

Time-Saving Tactic 4: Get more productive at work.

Some of us have more control of our schedules than others, so this isn’t going to be possible for everyone. If, however, you have the option to increase your productivity at work, by all means do so. If you have some measure of flexibility at your job or in your business, use that to your advantage. That way you can get home earlier or go into work later, thereby increasing the hours in the day that you can bond with your children.

Time-Saving Tactic 5: Learn to say no to people outside of your family who ask for your time.

I’m not telling you to cut people out of your life or avoid social activities, but you only have so much free time. It’s important to prioritize it in a way that allows for the most important people to get the greatest amount of time. Sometimes you have to say no to something good to say yes to something far more important (which, of course, is your kids). I’ve had to do this multiple times, and it’s something you really have to get comfortable with if you want to free up time for your children.

And there you have it! These 5 tactics are just a few of the things that I found helpful. I encourage you to try them along with anything else that feel will give you extra time with your kids. Please let me know about your experiences with these tactics in the comments section.

This concludes the “5 Ways to Free Up Time for Your Kids” blog series. Thanks again for taking the time to read all four posts! It is my sincere hope that this series was helpful to you. You’re already an awesome dad, now go out and be beyond awesome! Until next time, have a better than amazing day!
